Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)

  • Oklahoma City Public Schools’ BYOD allows students and staff to use their own technology during the day to enhance the learning experience. Currently, IT Services, along with other stakeholders, are engaged in building a powerful Wi-Fi network, developing/modifying explicit acceptable use policies, and communicating those policies clearly to students, parents, and teachers. These steps are critical for BYOD to be truly successful.

Please keep in mind, this network is provided as a convenience to you for use of personal or non-standard equipment. IT Client Services or Network Services will not be able to provide any support or troubleshooting for these devices or their ability to connect to this network.

OKCPS Guest Network Access

  • The OKCPS Guest wireless network is provided for guests of the district, limited to the following:
    • Educational consultants
    • Vendors
    • Professional development providers

To request okcpsguest access, your site or department administrator will need to fill out the Guest Network Access request on ServicePro and submit it for approval.

Unblock a Website

When determining website access exceptions, the OKCPS Information Technology Department must consider: student safety, legal compliance including CIPA, and network security.
