• Project Rationale: OKCPS has traditionally deployed laptops to teachers, where they are encouraged to make full use of technology to maximize their efficiency and to serve as a teaching device. These devices allow staff to fully utilize our significant investment in Interactive Whiteboards as well as interacting with the District grade book application. Our intent is to replace computers in phases so as to allow a complete computer lifecycle for acquisition and maintenance. These costs assume a 5-year replacement cycle.
     
    Project Scope: Phased in replacement of district staff computing equipment.


    Scheduled: 

    • School Bond Advisory Board has authorized the expenditure of 1,250 staff laptops and desktops on 8/14/17.
    • As of 12/14/17, 444 staff laptops have been replaced with only 18 left to deploy.  Additionally, 205 staff have been replaced and 160 are remaining to be deployed.
