Roles & Responsibilities

  • Board of Education – votes on criteria (policy D-12), contract, recommended policy changes & ultimate plan recommendation

    Superintendent – recommends plan to board after reviewing work of advisory teams & ADG. Provides management oversight to process thru designees & staff project team

    ADG – assesses facility, demographic, and instructional data to develop options for designing the future of OKCPS in consultation with staff & advisory teams

    Advisory teams – study OKCPS data, evaluate relevant research, provide recommendations related to educational specifications, community engagement & LRFMP recommendations

    • Repurposing/closure actions to be implemented for 2019-2020 academic year
    • Boundary & grade band realignments supported by existing facilities



    • New program & replication launches to be implemented for 2020-2021 academic year
    • Potential bond election to support recommendations
