OKCPS utilizes the Strengths Difficulties Questionnaire to determine student distress and to meet mental health needs of students. We strive to meet every potential student need through the collaboration of a multidisciplinary team including academic, social learning, safety, health services, community outreach, family engagement, and others.Programming

OKCPS strives to provide evidenced based social mental health programs to improve student learning outcomes. Our mental health team utilizes Structured Psychotherapy for Students Experiencing Chronic Stress groups for students and families wanting to participate, individual mental health services provided by the district or district partners, skill building and student support, and family mental health services provided by district partners.

Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Experiencing Chronic Stress. This is a voluntary psychotherapy group that requires parent approval to teach students to regulate emotions, manage chronic stress, and recognize and manage trauma symptoms.
