  • Databases and Additional Resources

There are several digital resources available to help you with lessons, personal research, or just general information needs. These can be accessed through Clever or by the library's Follett Destiny homepage. Browse the different types using the Library Databases page on the left. The yellow Destiny Digital Library button will bring up the landing page for resources; be sure to select our school from the menu.

    Discovery Education
This houses thousands of resources to use for educational purposes, including videos, images, documents, and audio. Log in with your school SSO to save content.

    EBSCO Host
EBSCO has several databases that we subscribe to. To access the menu, click on the EBSCO Host link. This is a short list of resources that teachers may find particularly valuable.

    1. Explora Teacher Resources: This is a database curated specifically for the teaching profession. It has lesson plans, additional tools to help students, links to educational sites, plus the ability to search for journals, videos, articles, and other resources for your own research needs.
    2. Points of View: This reference center is a valuable resource when searching for multiple (credible) points of view on an abundance of topics. Each topic link provides an overview of the issue and links to related resources, including research guides and links to curriculum standards.
    3. NoveList: This resource helps guide users to find books that will appeal to their tastes. You can search by genre, age level, and/or interest. When you click on a book, it provides an overview of it as well as provide some read-alike suggestions. This is a great way to build a to-read list (sign in with SSO to save choices), and titles can be checked against the school's catalog to see if they are available in our library.
    4. PrepStep: This is a fantastic resource for students, but teachers will probably find their test prep options valuable, too. PrepStep provides tutorials, practice tests, and test prep ebooks for the ACT, SAT, PSAT, and AP tests. Students will have to register for an account in order to access the materials, and they should just use thier SSO information to make it easy. To register properly, they must use the link in Clever, not the button in the menu.

    Oklahoma Digital Prairie
This is the go-to resource for anything Oklahoma related - history, primary documents, images, almanacs, legal info, Oklahoma authors, etc. Also has additional EBSCO offerings, including ERIC.

    TeachingBooks
This site has so many resources for novel studies. There's a range of titles, from classic to contemporary, and they offer a variety of lessons, activities, book guides, author interviews, etc. Log in with Clever to access all the materials and build lessons.

    OSSBA Library of Digital Resources
OSSBA curated grade and subject level lessons aligned to the state standards. Access them here: https://www.ossba.org/services/okldr/
