Dr. Misti Tope began her career in education as a math and science teacher in Texas from 2006-2010. She then moved with her family to Oklahoma, where she taught in Edmond and Oklahoma City Public Schools as a multimedia, theatre productions, AVID, and yearbook teacher. She has served in several leadership capacities, including instructional coaching, professional development coordinator, and for the last three years as an assistant principal for Classen SAS High School at Northeast. Dr. Tope earned her B.A. in Communication from Cameron University, a masters degree in Educational Leadership from UCO, and her doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Abilene Christian University. This year marks her 16th year in education and her 1st year as a head principal. Misti and her husband, Geoffrey, have two sons and reside in the Yukon area. Kyle, who is 23, is currently working in the Architectural field as a CAD drafter, and Ryan, who is 18, attends Classen SAS at Northeast. Misti is excited to move into the head principal role at Classen SAS. Her experience as an assistant principal, instructional leader, and professional development coordinator will support the continual promotion of striving to reach high expectations and achievement for our students and staff.
