    Course Request Process

    Our Classen staff works with students to complete the steps below when selecting appropriate courses.  All course requests are subject to review and approval by each program coordinator. IB students and families are invited to review our IB program coordinator's presentation for all things you need to know about the IB course request process.     TRANSCRIPT REVIEW
    Students and parents should review their current transcript each year to identify what courses need to be taken. Transcripts are available on Infinite Campus.  It is important to review and understand the OKCPS graduation requirements when performing this review:




    REVIEW PROGRAM COURSE SEQUENCES
    Each program at Classen has unique major program sequences (VPA & IB) students must follow from 9th-12th grade.  Coordinators in each program evaluate each student's progress and provide guidance for appropriate course selection.  Review the course sequencing form for your major below:

    COMPLETE THE COURSE REQUEST WORKSHEET
    Students should use the grade-level course request worksheet provided below as a guide when making course selections.  This worksheet has been pre-filled with IB courses that are required for each specific grade level.  Complete the worksheet and be prepared to bring it to your upcoming course request session with your counselor. All major courses must be pre-approved by the major course teacher.
