Ridgeview is a uniform school. In choosing school attire, parents and students should be sure that standards of health, safety, and morality are not violated or the manner of dress does not interfere with work or creates disorder in the learning environment. Several times throughout the year students will be given the opportunity to participate in out-of-uniform, picture day or fundraising days. *Shoes with wheels are not permitted. Flip-flops are not permitted.
The uniform dress code includes: shirts, slacks, shorts and belts. Any combination of the colors navy blue, khaki, red and white may be worn. Logos are not permitted. Shirts and blouses should be tucked in. Hoodies are not permitted. Jeans are not permitted except on Out of Uniform Days and Spirit Days and must be blue jeans. Anything with belt loops requires a brown belt. Shirts may be collared or not collared.
Girls may wear the appropriate combinations of the following:
*pleated or flat front slacks (black, navy or khaki)
*pleated or flat front shorts (black, navy or khaki)
*pleated or flat front skirts/skorts (black, navy or khaki)
*polo shirts (white, navy or red)
*oxford shirts (white, navy or red)
*turtleneck shirts (white, navy or red)
*sweaters/sweatshirts (white, navy or red)
*Ridgeview spirit shirts (Only on Spirit Day!)
*Leggings may be worn and may only be white, black, or navy blue.
Boys may wear the appropriate combinations of the following:
*pleated or flat front slacks (black, navy or khaki)
*pleated or flat front shorts (black, navy or khaki)
*polo shirts (white, navy or red)
*oxford shirts (white, navy or red)
*turtleneck shirts (white, navy or red)
*sweaters/sweatshirts (white, navy or red)
*Ridgeview spirit shirts (Spirit Days only)
Ridgeview will support casual Fridays by allowing students to wear appropriate blue jeans with a Ridgeview uniform shirt or spirit shirt.
Students wearing inappropriate clothing or violating the dress code policy will be sent to the office to either change in spare clothing that the clothes closet has on hand or parents will be contacted to bring a change of clothing.
Make-up may be worn, however, if it distracts from the learning environment, as deemed by the teacher, your child may be asked to remove the make-up.
