What's In a Name:
Britton was a small town that was incorporated into Oklahoma City. The town was named for Alexander Britton of Washington, DC. He was a Santa Fe Railway attorney.
Britton Elementary School was built in 1931. We have a student body of 380, and a strong and positive staff membership of 26. We maintain a healthy and happy environment for our children and believe that “Children Come First!” Through the belief in and commitment to the educational concept that “All Children Can Learn,” we will enable our Britton students to develop intellectually, physically, mentally, and emotionally throughout each level of the educational process as successful and productive members of society.
