Dress Code/Uniform Information

  • Dress Code

    • Britton follows the OKCPS District Policy and is a uniform school. When choosing a school uniform, parents and students should be sure that standards of health, safety, and morality are not violated or the manner of dress interferes with work or creates disorder in the learning environment. Several times throughout the year students will be given the opportunity to participate in out-of-uniform picture day and or fundraising days.

      The uniform dress code includes: shirts, slacks, shorts and belts. Any combination of the colors navy blue, light blue, khaki and white may be worn. Logos are not permitted. Shirts and blouses will be tucked in. Anything with belt loops requires a belt.

      Girls may wear the appropriate combination of the following:

      • Jumpers (navy or khaki)

      • Slacks (navy or khaki)

      • Shorts (navy or khaki)

      • Skirts/skorts (navy or khaki)

      • Blouses with collar (white, navy, or light blue)

      • Polo type shirts with buttons and a collar (white, navy, or light blue)

      • Oxford shirts (white, navy, or light blue)

      • Turtleneck shirts (white, navy, or light blue)

      • Sweaters/sweatshirts (white, navy, or light blue) *No pictures or logos

                 Boys may wear the appropriate combination of the following:

    • Slacks (navy or khaki)

    • Shorts (navy or khaki)

    • Polo type shirts with buttons and a collar (navy, light blue or white)

    • Oxford shirts (navy, light blue or white)

    • Turtleneck shirts (navy, light blue or white)

    • Sweaters/sweatshirts (navy, light blue, or white) *No pictures or logos



    • Britton t-shirts and sweatshirts will be permitted and considered part of the uniform dress code.

      Students wearing inappropriate clothing or violating the dress code policy will be sent to the office to either change into spare clothing that the clothes closet has on hand or parents will be contacted to bring a change of clothing.
