Cell Phone Policy

  • Taft School recommends students do not bring cell phones to school.

    Lost, Stolen, or Damaged cell phones are not the responsibility of OKCPS or Taft MS and will not be investigated by school administration.

    Cell phones are not allowed during class periods or passing periods. Misuse of cell phones is defiance of authority.

    • 1st Offense: Verbal warning-email grade level admin regarding the electronic device violation
    • 2nd Offense: Teacher Parent Contact (Log Call), email grade level admin regarding the electronic device violation
    • 3rd+ Offense: Referral to grade-level admin regarding the electronic device violation. 
    • **Student refusal, refer to grade-level principal.

    REFUSAL: Refused to give the telephone to the teacher, administrator or person of authority on-campus student will be assigned a Level 3 consequence.
