Webster Middle School
Secondary students shall adhere to the following dress code:
- Tops: Shirts that fully cover a student’s torso (including stomach, back, and shoulders) without undergarments showing.
- Bottoms: Clothing that fully covers a student from the waist down to at least mid-thigh.
- Shoes: Must wear shoes that do not pose a safety threat to self or others and must be closed toe.
Reasonable Limitations
- Attire shall not be see-through, sheer, mesh, or otherwise transparent.
- Pajamas and house shoes are not permitted.
- Hats are not permitted in the building.
- Hoodies are acceptable but hoods shall not be pulled up to cover the head.
The following symbols, mottos, words, or acronyms on decorations and/or designs imprinted upon or attached to the body or clothing are prohibited if they portray:
- Crude, vulgar, profane, violent, death-oriented, gang-related, hate speech, sexually explicit, or sexually suggestive images or messages.
- Advertisement of tobacco, alcohol, or drugs or drug paraphernalia.
- Identification of a student as a member of a secret or overtly antisocial group or gang or an organization that professes violence or hatred toward others.
- Visible tattoos or brands incompatible with the standards set forth herein shall be covered to prohibit their display.
Discipline
Students who violate this policy may be subject to discipline in accordance with the District’s Student Code of Conduct.
Backpacks
Clear Backpacks only. However, student chromebooks and textbooks will remain in the classroom so most
students won’t even need a backpack.Cell Phones
Webster is a cell phone free campus. Cell phones must be put away from the time you enter the building until
you leave at the end of the day.If there is an emergency and you would like to get in contact with your child, please reach out to the office staff at
Webster School. A message will be delivered to your student. You may also email your student and their teachers at
their district provided email address.If your child needs to contact you, there are ways that they can reach you during the school day. They can use a
phone in the main office or the phone that is located in every classroom with the teacher’s permission. They can
also email you from their school device.Food/Lunches
Food and drinks will not be allowed outside the lunchroom. Student lunch/food items will be collected at
scanning, labeled, and placed in their grade-level lunch crates. Lunch/food items will be distributed during their
designated lunch period. Students may bring and carry an unopened water bottle or an empty water bottle that
can be filled at our water bottle fillers. If a student has a medical issue that necessitates access to food, please
email Mrs. Echols (vcechols@okcps.org) to set up a plan.
School Supplies
Students will receive supply lists from their teachers the 1st week of school.Prohibited

*Perfume/Cologne/Body Sprays
*Markers (Any type)
*Liquid paper
*Prank Items
*Inappropriate magazines
Toys such as stuffed animals, playing cards, dice, etc.
Electronic Devices (Phones are permitted but must be turned off and inside a backpack. The only exception is with prior consent from a teacher to use during a designated time for a class project. It must be put away and turned off after completing the project in the allowed timeframe and before leaving the classroom.)
Flowers, Balloons, and Gifts
Any Outside food (unless brought for school lunch ONLY. Must be consumed during assigned lunch period)
Any open drinks
CD's and DVD's
Cameras
*Laser Pointers
*Belts with buckles larger than a credit card
*Any gang-related items
The above items WILL BE CONFISCATED and may be retrieved by the parent or guardian*Items with an asterisk will be thrown away.
