Mr. Nelson is a new addition that has recently moved from Texas. He attended Alief Hastings High School in Houston, Texas. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in English/Education and a Masters in Education Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington. He spent 18 years serving the students of Arlington, Texas as a teacher, assistant principal, and a principal.

He has worked with students from Pre-Kinder to high school seniors, and on occasion lectured as a guest in college. Family has brought Mr. Nelson to Oklahoma. Since he has been here, he has taught at Putnam Heights Elementary, and more recently served Star Spencer HS and Douglass HS as an assistant principal. Mr. Nelson is honored and excited to serve the Panthers at Putnam Heights Academy as their new Principal.
