September 14, 2022 | Message to Elementary Families: SeeSaw Could Have Been Hacked

OKCPS Families and Staff, 

The district received reports of an issue involving SeeSaw, a learning management system that our youngest learners use. Initially reports lead us to believe that SeeSaw may have been hacked and inappropriate messages could have been shared through the platform. Please note this is an issue with SeeSaw and not with OKCPS or our network. SeeSaw has now disabled the messaging component while they determine the cause of this issue. 

OKCPS hasn’t received any reports of this happening within our district, however, neighboring districts have reported the inappropriate messages. 

OKCPS will monitor the situation and provide updates as necessary. Please contact your child’s school if you have any questions or if you or your student received such messages.
