11/12/2021 OKCPS Hosts Vaccine PODs for Students and Families

OKCPS Families,

OKCPS continues to believe vaccination is a key mitigation strategy that is in the best interest of OKCPS students and staff. With the recent FDA approval of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for children aged 5-11, OKCPS is now pleased to make the vaccine available to our families who are interested with the help of our public health partners.

The COVID-19 vaccine for children is administered as a two-dose series, 3 weeks apart, but is a lower dose (10 micrograms) than that used for individuals 12 years of age and older (30 micrograms). Families can attend any of the PODs below for a first or second dose. The second dose must be at least three weeks after the first dose. Note that a legal guardian must be present to provide consent for vaccination.

As a reminder, OKCPS does not require the COVID-19 vaccine for our students or staff.
