FY25 Class Coverage - Loss of Plan Claims

Greetings Team OKCPS!

The Class Coverage and Loss of Plan claim process is changing for FY25.

Beginning this year, staff are responsible for creating and submitting Class Coverage and Loss of Plan claims for themselves.  No more completing a PDF claim sheet and providing it to the site secretary only to have that very information retyped into a Cognito form.  Now staff members providing coverage will complete the Cognito table themselves and forward this information to site secretaries who will verify day/time coverage was provided.

With this change, comes an opportunity for the Compensation Team to review and streamline the process. The key to providing timely payment for your Class Coverage and Loss of Plan claims lies in the frequency with which these claims are submitted.  Although it may sound counterintuitive, submitting more claims less often instead of fewer claims more often will best facilitate accurate payment.

Bottom line:  For the best chance of getting paid regularly and timely, DON’T submit claims daily.  Submit claims on a bi-monthly basis.

Please take a moment to watch the training video provided by the Compensation Team.  Don Webb of our Compensation team takes you through several example submissions step-by-step.  He will also share some tips and ideas concerning efficient and preferred claim submission methods and techniques.

Thank you!

Compensation Team

Filtering Incoming Cognito Forms

Setting up filters in GMail is simple and will streamline the process greatly. The filters will move your incoming Cognito forms to a pre-determined folder and keep them there until you are ready to open and review.
