Current OKCPS Families who line within district boundaries

••Oklahoma City Public Schools accepts transfer requests in the Spring to help families and the district to plan for the coming year. Families will be notified of their transfer status by May 15.

  • Transfer requests must be submitted by April 15th.
  • Families will be notified if their transfer request was approved or denied by May 15th. 
  • If you moved during the current school year: Please use the School Locator Tool to verify the school assigned to your new home address. Fill out a transfer request by April 15th if you'd like your student to attend a different school. 
  • Current OKCPS transfer students going into Middle School or High School: Will need to apply for a new transfer unless they plan to return to the school assigned to the home address.
  • Each student must have his or her own transfer on file; this includes multiple births and siblings.
  • Families living within district boundaries who have a student attending OKCPS for the first time and would like to submit a transfer for a different OKCPS school, will need to provide:
    • Attendance and Behavior reports from current or previous school year
    • Foster Care paperwork, if applicable and available
    • Individual Education Plan (IEP), if applicable
  • Incomplete transfer applications will not be considered.
