11/2/2020 Update Regarding Remote Learning and Meal Service for November 3rd
OKCPS Families & Staff,
Tuesday, November 3rd is scheduled as an Asynchronous Virtual Learning Day for all students. This means that teachers will load assignments into Canvas ahead of time and all students will log-in to learn on their own on Tuesday. By doing this, OKCPS is able to allow our teachers and families plenty of flexibility to vote.
Please note that all school buildings will be closed on Tuesday and school site based staff will not report to work.
OKCPS understands that some of our families and staff are still dealing with power outages and/or connectivity issues. If you are unable to connect, please don’t worry. We just ask that you let your child’s teacher know as soon as you can for attendance purposes. And, when possible, we encourage students to log in and complete any asynchronous learning activities that have been assigned to them. OKCPS staff who are unable to connect should notify your supervisor.
Additionally, due to widespread power outages, please note that our curbside meal service will be limited tomorrow, Tuesday, November 3. Please visit www.okcps.org/meals for a current list of meal sites that will be operating tomorrow between 10:30 am and 1:00 pm.
OKCPS will keep our families updated as power outages are still impacting a large number of schools in our district. Thank you for your continued support.
