June 6, 2022 | Changes to Spencer Feeder Pattern

Spencer Community Families, 

Summertime is often a time for reflection for educators and school leaders. It’s when we are able to evaluate what’s working well and what could use improvement. With this in mind, we have some updates to share with you that will impact the students in our Spencer community. 

Beginning in August, our 4th grade students will attend Spencer Elementary, located at 8900 NE 50th St, Spencer, OK 73084. 

Our data and research shows the transition from 3rd to 4th grade is a critical time for our learners and we believe delaying the transition to a middle school environment until 5th grade will help our students by affording them another year to learn self-management and social system skills essential for school success.

Previously our 4th graders attended Rogers Elementary along with 5th and 6th graders. This shift with our 4th graders also means that beginning in August, Rogers will now be a middle school and continue to serve our 5th and 6th grade students.
