The Department of College & Career integrates college readiness, career exploration, and Career and Technical Education (CTE) into a single, cohesive unit. Our mission is to prepare all students for success beyond high school by equipping them with the
academic knowledge, technical skills, and real-world experiences needed to thrive in postsecondary education, the workforce, and life.
What We Provide
- Academic and Career Guidance
Personalized support to help students explore interests, set goals, and plan intentional college and career pathways.
- Career and Technical Education (CTE)
Hands-on, industry-aligned instruction in high-demand fields such as information technology, health sciences, engineering, and other emerging workforce sectors.
- Work-Based Learning Opportunities
Internships, apprenticeships, job shadowing, service learning, and other experiential learning opportunities that connect classroom instruction to real-world application.
- Industry and Community Partnerships
Collaborations with local employers, colleges, workforce agencies, and community organizations to expand student access to career-connected learning and postsecondary opportunities.
- College and Workforce Readiness Skills
Development of critical employability skills, including communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and professionalism, to
support long-term success.
