OKCPS Shares Board of Education Leadership Transition

Monday evening, the Oklahoma City Public Schools Board of Education (BOE) honored Board Chair Paula Lewis for more than a decade of dedicated service to OKCPS before formally accepting her resignation and declaring the Board Chair seat vacant. 

Vice Chair Lori Bowman will assume the duties of Board Chair following Paula Lewis' resignation while continuing to serve as the elected representative for District 2. In accordance with Oklahoma law and OKCPS Board policy, the Vice Chair performs the duties of the Chair until a successor is elected and qualified.
