	Welcome to RMS Fine Arts This online site will provide information for both students and parents concerning the Fine Arts Department, our scheduled concerts, programs and events. Activities Parent Orientation Night Open House Fall Concert Music Appreciation and Application All students will participate in class activities that will help them learn to recognize music symbols, terms, and famous composers. Both the Instrumental and Vocal classes will be expected to learn and retain the knowledge and facts. General Requirements / PASS Skills Many of the state-required skills will be covered during this school term. Students in all music/fine art classes will: Participated in music through singing and/or playing instruments. Sing or play a variety of folk, ethnic, classical, and contemporary musical pieces. Perform simple melodies/ songs for the public. Demonstrate proper concert behavior appropriate for public performance. Discuss music in terms of musical elements: pitch, dynamics, rhythm, texture, and form. Identify music representing a variety of styles, periods and cultures including European, Native American, African American, Hispanic, and Asian.
