Top Readers Take Field Trip in Style

Oklahoma City – 30 students at Stonegate Elementary at 2525 NW 112 Street are taking a limo to lunch in Bricktown at 11:00 Tuesday, January 10.

“We wanted to increase reading at Stonegate,” says Principal Neal Johnson. “What better incentive than to take a limo to lunch.”

It’s not just any limo, the top four readers from each grade will be picked up in a stretch Hummer, which is touted as the largest limousine in the state. The limo will make two trips, one with the Kindergarten through 2nd grade students, the next with 3rd through 5th grade students. All of the students are part of the school’s accelerated reading program. Media is invited to the pick-up and drop-off at the school.
