Parks Elementary Student Goes to School by Fire Truck

Oklahoma City – Desirae Dorty, a second grade student at Thelma R. Parks Elementary at 1501 N.E. 30 gets a lift to school Wednesday, November 30 thanks to the Oklahoma City Fire Department.  Dorty won the 2005 OCFD Fire Safety Contest. As part of her prize, firefighters will pick Dorty up at her home and give her a ride to school in a fire truck.  The fire engine and Desirae should arrive at the school between 8:00 and 8:15 a.m. Media is encouraged to attend the drop-off. Dorty will be available for interviews.
