Rotary Gives Third Graders Gift of Grammar
Oklahoma City
–
As part of their annual projects, the Oklahoma Rotary Club #29 is handing
out a brand-new dictionary to every third grade student in the Oklahoma City
Public Schools District.
“The “Dictionary Project” enables us to give our students the
tools to expand their vocabulary, grammar and their minds,” says Yecedra
Daughty, Principal at Edgemere Elementary. “ We really appreciate this
donation.”
“It’s
a small gift that can make a big difference,” said Robert Clements,
spokesperson for Oklahoma Rotary #29. “We are happy to help our children
succeed.”
Rotary #29 is the oldest rotary club in Oklahoma. The group of business
leaders and professionals conduct several community-based projects every
year. Rotary members will be handing out the dictionaries at Edgemere
Elementary at 3200 N Walker on Friday, October 6 at 10:30 A.M. Media is
welcomed at the presentation.
