NW Classen Students Give a Taste of the Arts

Oklahoma City – On Saturday May 6, hundreds of students from the Northwest Classen learning community will show their artistic side during the first Arts Extravaganza being held at Taft Middle School at 2901 NW 23. The students will show off their artwork as well as perform as part of a fundraiser to benefit the fine arts departments at all of the Northwest Classen schools.

“This is an excellent way for our school community to come together and show how much talent our students have on all levels,” says Sarah Chan, coordinator of Arts Extravaganza.

In addition to the art and performances, the schools will also offer a “Taste of NWC” where area restaurants join together to serve up food sample trays. Tickets for the food booths will be 10 tastes for $10 and 5 tastes for $5. Tickets are on sale at all participating schools and will be available the day of the event.

There is no charge to attend the Arts Extravaganza. The festival begins at 10:00, student performances begin at 11:30 and the food booths open at 12:00.
