NW Classen Students Walk for a Good Cause

Students, Teachers and administrators from Northwest Classen High School are putting on their walking shoes to help raise awareness and raise money for the Oklahoma City AIDS Walk.

The annual walk is being held at the Myriad Botanical Gardens in downtown Oklahoma City this Sunday, October 1. The NW Classen community will begin gathering at the Gardens at 12:30 p.m., with the walk scheduled to begin at 2:00. Several students who could not attend this year’s event made and signed a banner of support for this worthy cause.

Since 1998, the AIDS Walk of Oklahoma City has distributed more than $283,000 to HIV/AIDS non-profit organizations serving the greater Oklahoma City community through direct health services, HIV/AIDS education and prevention, and community awareness.
