Linwood Honor Choir Honing Its Skills for the Governor

Oklahoma City – Vocal music students at Linwood Elementary School at 3416 NW 17th are sharpening their voices in preparation of the Governor’s Septemberfest this weekend. The honor choir was picked by Governor Henry to sing from 10:40 to 11:10 on Saturday, September 10.

“The students are excited about this opportunity. Linwood has a wonderful choir and they can’t wait to showcase their talents,” says Principal Kathy Draper.

To get ready for the event, the choir has been spending the early morning hours this week practicing. The group is offering the media a “sneak peek” at their performance during practice Thursday morning September 8.

Media wishing to attend practice needs to be at Linwood at 7:00 a.m. Thursday morning. Students and teachers will be available for interviews during and after practice.
