THE COMPLIANCE DATE FOR MEETING THE HOOVER UNIFORM/DRESS CODE IS THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR ALL STUDENTS. Parents and students are responsible for ensuring compliance of dress code standards on a daily basis. Students not in compliance with uniform dress code attire will not be allowed to attend classes. These regulations are in addition to those of the Oklahoma City Public Schools.

Shirts must have a collar, may be oxford or knit type shirt. Shirttails must be tucked in and worn on the inside of the pants, shorts, skirts, skorts, jumpers and capris.
SHOES
No Sandals, open toed, or sling back style shoes. Shoes should be BLACK, BROWN, NAVY OR WHITE ONLY. Socks should match uniform colors (black, brown, white, dark green and Navy).
SPECIAL NOTES
1. Students may wear plain, solid white t-shirts or undershirts as an undergarment.
2. Students may wear Hoover sweatshirts as an overgarment provided a uniform shirt collar is showing.
3. Attire that reveals the chest or exposes a bare midriff, bodice or abdomen is prohibited.
4. Students may wear approved Hoover attire on designated Spirit days.
5. Students will not be allowed to wear the following:
a. Jeans of any color
b. Colored t-shirts or undershirts
c. Any Collegiate athletic or professional team clothing
d. Coats or jackets can not be worn in class.
e. Caps, hats, head wraps, visors, sweatbands or sunglasses cannot be worn inside
the building.
(School uniforms can be purchased through any
retail-clothing outlet store of the
parent's choosing.)
