UNIFORM DRESS POLICY
The Parent Teacher Association and the administration of the Northeast Academy
for Health Sciences and Engineering have adopted the policy that wearing a
school uniform enables a student to focus their attention on academics and the
learning process. A uniform dress code also supports a positive school
climate.
Uniform
Dress Code (effective 2006-2007 school year for all students) – Rev. 6/16/04

Pants, Walking Shorts or Skirts
– Skirts and shorts must touch the knee. Splits can not be higher than
the knee. Slacks, shorts and skirts must be khaki, black or gray. (No
spandex, leather, knit, denim (jean fabric), glitter, rhinestones,
decorations, or adornments. No athletic, sweat, or jogging pants of any
kind.

Shirts – Shirts must be polo
three-button or oxford button-down style with a collar (short or long
sleeve). Shirts must be solid white, maroon, gray or black. Monogrammed
shirts are not required, but you may wear them if you so desire. No cropped
tops or spandex tops.

Outerwear – Coats, jackets,
sweaters, etc., must be placed in the lockers upon arrival at school. NE
Academy black hooded sweatshirts may be worn in the building over the
uniform shirt.

Shoes – Flip-flops, thongs,
soccer sandals, house shoes, sandals or beach shoes cannot be worn. Open-toed
shoes cannot be worn.
Uniforms will be worn while on school grounds and on school field trips.
The
administration reserves the right to address any uniform or dress code
issues.
