Mission:  The Mission of NE Academy is to focus on teaching and learning that will assure all students are prepared for success in college.

 

Vision:  The Vision for NE Academy is that all students will meet or exceed academic, behavioral and attendance standards for their grade level and will be prepared for success in college.

 

Values: 

·        Shared mission, vision, values, goals; collaborative teams focused on learning; collective inquiry into “best practice” and “current reality”; action orientation/experimentation; commitment to continuous improvement; results orientation

·        We will identify the essential outcomes of each grade level and help each student to achieve those outcomes.

·        We will teach the agreed upon course objectives and provide evidence of student achievement of those objectives.

·        We will make full use of instructional time.

·        We will teach for understanding, frequently assessing students’ understanding and providing a variety of opportunities for students to demonstrate mastery.

·        We will demonstrate our belief and expectation that all students can achieve the outcomes of the courses to which they are assigned.

·        All Staff will help to assure an orderly atmosphere that is conducive to learning throughout the building.

·        We will treat all members of the school community with respect.

 

Goal Statements:
  • All graduates will be prepared for success in college (graduate with college hours and all ACT sub-scores 19+).
  • Six-year plans will be developed for all students and will guide student course selection (revised two times per year).
  • All students will master course objectives and score satisfactory or higher on end of course exams                                         (Course Grades – “C” or higher, CRT – Satisfactory +, EOI – Satisfactory +, AP - 3 +, CLEP – 50 +, ACT – 19 + Sub-Scores).
  • Results from EPAS (EXPLORE, PLAN, and ACT), PSAT, Advanced Placement, CLEP, CRT, and End-of-Instruction exams will guide teaching and learning (Guaranteed curriculum taught and assessed, pacing guides, common quarterly assessments, variety of instructional strategies utilized, pyramid of interventions).
