Samantha Hallman, a sophomore at Douglass High School was chosen the Little All-City Athlete of the Year for 2005. Samantha won state titles in the 100 meters hurdles and the 300 meters hurdles. She broke the record twice in the 300 meters hurdles during the state track meet. As a freshman, she also took state titles in these same events.
Samantha’s teammate, Anastache Lee, a junior was also named to the Little All-City First Team along with Samantha.
The Girl’s Track Coach, Alonzo Shipp, was named Little All-City Coach of the Year. Coach Shipp’s team took second place the 4A State Track Meet. |
