Classen News: September 9, 2005

THIS IS AN "B" WEEK SO FRIDAY IS A "B" DAY

OPEN HOUSE IS TUESDAY, SEPTEMER 13 - Volunteers needed to serve food, sell tickets, clean-up.  We are having pizza by the slice this year.  Your student should have brought home a flier this week but just in case it didn't make it out of the backpack:

Picnic on the Grounds starts at 4:30; PTSA will be selling pizza by the slice and sodas or you may bring your own picnic.

Dr. Maxfield will hold a general assembly in the auditorium at 6:00 PM followed immediately by a brief general PTSA meeting.

Faculty and staff will be available beginning at 6:30 in their classrooms.

Middle School Team Meetings:    6:30-7:00

6th Grade:  Auditorium; 7th Grade:  Cafeteria; 8th Grade:  Media Center

7-8:00  Classroom Visitations - The purpose of our gathering is to become acquainted or reacquainted with the Classen family, get information and meet student's teachers.  Open House does not allow enough time for individual conferences regarding student's work.

SPORTS PHYSICALS - Physicals will be given by Dr. Rossavik this Monday, September 12, at 2:15 at Classen for students wishing to participate in ANY sport.  These physicals will be valid for the school year.  Cost is $10 CASH, payable at the time the physical is performed.

Physicals can also be scheduled by calling Clinica Guadalupe, 525-0153.  Physicals given after school hours are $10, during school $25, CASH payable at the time the physical is performed.  The clinic address is 801 NW 23rd Street.

Students should get their physical forms from Mrs. Seda in Room A102.

The GAPP Parent Booster Club will be hosting a car wash during Open House next Tuesday.  Let our students clean your car while you eat and visit!
All donations go to defray the cost of the students' trip to Germany in June, 2006.

Danke,
Frau B
