OPEN HOUSE WAS A HUGE SUCCESS - Thanks to all the volunteers, faculty, staff, students, and parents who participated and helped make the evening a success.  If you failed to get your complimentary copy of the Student Directory, it will be sent home with your student on Friday.  We have additional copies available in the main office for $5 each.

LOST HOODIE - At the Open House on Sept. 12th, my daughter, Evan Butler, picked up her Classen hooded sweatshirt (size Small).  She left it in one of her classes and when she returned, it was gone.  If anyone has found a Small hooded sweatshirt, please let me know or return it to the office.

Thanks.

DIRECTORY UPDATE

The 2006-2007 Classen Directories are in.  Many of you picked yours up at the Open House (thank you!)--- unfortunately, I hadn't noticed that a page was missing!  You can print the page from a separate email entitled "Missing Directory Page", or you can pick one up in the office.  I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

For those of you who weren't at the Open House, your directories are being distributed to your children in class.  (These directories now have the missing page.)  You should have them by next week.

We still have additional directories available for $5.00 each in the main office.

Thanks,
Mary Coyle

Parents of 8th and 10th graders:

We will be giving the following tests next week to 8th and 10th graders.  These tests are preliminary versions of the ACT and are good indicators of how students can do on the ACT and good tools to use to improve skills for the real ACT.  There is no charge for students as the State Board of Regents pays for the tests for all Oklahoma schools that participate in the program.  Please help your students remember to get plenty of rest the night before and eat a good breakfast the morning of the tests.

Wednesday, September 20, Time blocks 1 and 2:  EXPLORE test for 8th graders
Thursday, September 21, Time blocks 1 and 2:  PLAN test for 10th graders

If you have questions, please contact your student's counselor.  Thanks for your support.

Judy Schroeder, Testing Coordinator

IB T-Shirt Fundraiser:  IB parents are selling GREAT t-shirts through the end of September.  All sizes are available for just $12 each.  The proceeds will be used for the extremely expensive books, teaching supplies, and test supplies needed by our IB faculty and students.  T-shirts will be on sale during the IB parent meetings on September 21 as well as during the parent/teacher conferences on September 28-29.  For your convenience, a flyer is attached.  Avoid the rush -- your student can turn the form and the money in to Valerie Harris at any time before the end of September.  If you have questions, please call Valerie Harris (962-0212) or Deena Link (820-0553).
