Teacher Appreciation Week: May 8-12

Volunteers are still needed to bring and/or serve food for our Hawaiian Luau Luncheon on Thursday, May 11.  Please contact Rich Fuller at budivantiger@aol.com

Two to three volunteers are also needed to help serve punch and conduct a drawing for our teachers and staff on Friday, May 12 from 10:30 a.m - 1:00 p.m.  Please contact Cheri Crabtree at 590-6631 or ccrabtree@ckschool.com.

Let's show our hardworking teachers and staff how much we appreciate them.
 
Middle school vocal concert is Tuesday, May 16, at 7:00 p.m. right after the PTSA meeting.  The choirs  will be performing the concert pieces that won the Achievement Awards as well as many pop pieces.


 

Classen SAS Middle School vocal music went to a state contest at Western Heights on Saturday, May 6.
 
Only singers who had made superiors in district contest were allowed to compete.  Classen entered 8 students.  The following earned superior ratings:
Claire Deveney, Audrey Thomas, Griffin LaVictoire, Alex Hampton, Lindsey Chancellor, Kelsey Muse and Jared Archie.  Megan Wallar earned an excellent.
 
5 were chosen to compete in the finals:  Claire Deveney, Audrey Thomas, Griffin LaVictoire, Alex Hampton and Jared Archie.
 
4 won trophies:  Audrey Thomas, 1st place 8th grade girl; Alex Hampton, 1st place 7th grade girl; Griffin LaVictoire, 3rd place 8th grade boy; and Jared Archie, 2nd place 7th grade boy.

The 8th Grade Bridging Ceremony is at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 12 in the Classen Auditorium. Flyers were sent home with students several weeks ago.   Fees for lunch and the after party are past due.  Baby/childhood pictures are also past due. 
 
Classen Spring Orchestra concert will be at 7:00pm May 15th. Come one, come all!!
 
 
Yearbook distribution is May 19th (the Friday before finals start). Additional copies will be sold May 19th only for the cost of $50. Payment should be made in the form of cash or check made out to Classen.
