WATCH FOR CLASSEN STUDENTS IN THE NEWS ON MONDAY

Watch for television and newspaper coverage of our talented students at Classen SAS on Monday, Feb. 26.  Six drama students will be part of making Oklahoma history that day when they are featured actors in the landmark Skirvin Hotel's Grand Re-Opening.  Local TV stations, among other media, are planning to cover the event beginning at noon.

The students will be dressed in period costumes from 1911 when the Skirvin originally opened in downtown Oklahoma City.  They will be milling through the crowd and greeting people as if they have returned to wish the grand old hotel well.  One student will be a newspaper boy from that era, shouting out "Extra, extra!  Read all about it!  The Skirvin is open again!" as he hands out a special section from the Feb. 25th Sunday Oklahoman.

Congratulations to our students:  Alyson Colin, Julie Hamilton, Alex Golden, Anthony McPhearson, Brian Casteneda and Danielle Mahoney (coordinator and costumes).

Only two high schools were invited to be a part of this historic event.  The other group is the Viking Choir from Northeast Academy.
