The deadline for 8th graders to submit photos for the Bridging slide show has been extended to Friday, February 23rd.  Please remember to bring your photos to Ms. Robinson or Ms. Cornell, or e-mail them to susan.j.hood@ boeing.com.  We want all 8th graders to be included in the slide show this year.

Upcoming Test Information for 8th Grade Parents:

On February 21 and 22 all eighth grade students will be taking their state mandated 8th  Grade Writing test.  Both days students will write a short essay response to a prompt and be allowed a suggested time of 50 minutes.  Ms. Pierce has been working with the 8th grade students so they do know what to expect and a booklet has been sent home with them.   Please make sure your students are prepared for an important test on those days and try to avoid any appointments which require them to be gone from school during 1st and 2nd periods.  A good night’s rest and a good breakfast prior to testing are very important.    The only make up allowed for the writing is:  If a student is not here on Wed., Feb. 21, both tests can be taken on Thurs., Feb. 22.

Spring Testing Windows:

The state mandates all middle school students take CRT (Criterion Referenced Tests) tests and high school students take EOI (End of Instruction) tests.  The window for these tests follows.  Parents will be informed of exact dates when more detailed dates and times for Classen students are established.  The tests are generally administered during 1st and 2nd periods.  Again, please help your students avoid absences during their testing times.
