PTSA GENERAL MEETING AND ART SHOW - There will be a general meeting of the Classen SAS PTSA on Tuesday, October 18, 6:00 PM in the auditorium.  High school art work will be on display and refreshments will be served.  BE THERE!!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CAST, CREW and DRAMA DEPARTMENT FOR WINNING 1ST PLACE IN THE DISTRICT COMPETITION WITH THEIR PERFORMANCE OF " EQUUS|".  GOOD LUCK AT STATE ON OCTOBER 27!!!!!!!  If you did not get to see this production on Tuesday, you missed an incredible performance.
 
HAUNTED HIKE SPOOK HOUSE - The Classen vocal music students going to New York City in April are participating in a fund raiser.  If you purchase advance tickets to the Spook House and use Classen's code word, Skeleton, you get a $2 discount and the vocal music students earn a minimum of $2 per ticket and possibly as much as $5 per ticket.   These tickets are VIP tickets and allow you to go to the front of the line upon arrival.   Please see the attached flier for more information. 
 
 
ACT PRACTICE TEST - Tuesday, October 18 for all juniors.
 
The Charity Ball is on Sat., Oct. 29th, 8-12.00, Plaza Ballroom, Sheraton Hotel. This is a high school event and a costume party. NHS and Student Council co-sponsor the dance and profits benefit United Way. Last year our donation was $1,194.00. There will be prizes for best individual, couples, and group costumes. Cost is $12.00 in advance and $15.00 at the door. Chaperones are needed! Contact Leah Stein.
 
The Fall Ball (a dance solely for middle school) will be in November. Cannot confirm a date. The committee is still working on a location. Will advise you as soon as details are firm. Parents anxious to chaperone can contact the StuCo high school co-chmn., Alice Fredrickson.

SCHEDULE: 

Day 1: Orientation to the learn to row program; submit waiver and payment; view U.S. Rowing safety video; learn ergometer fundamentals

Day 2: Warm-up and stretch with the Chesapeake Junior Crew; review ergometer fundamentals; learn sweep rowing fundamentals on the training barge / dock trainers

Day 3: Warm-up and stretch with the Chesapeake Junior Crew; review ergometer and sweep rowing fundamentals; learn boat carrying and maintenance procedures; learn sweep rowing fundamentals on the water

Day 4: Warm-up and stretch with the Chesapeake Junior Crew; practice sweep rowing fundamentals on the water

Day 5: Warm-up and stretch with the Chesapeake Junior Crew; learn sculling fundamentals on the water; receive packet of information if joining Chesapeake Junior Crew
