Dance Department’s Wish List

Big Big Big Need:

New Dance Floor ($45,000-$50,000, installed)

Other not-so-BIG Needs:

27 inch TV

Refrigerator for ice storage (injuries)

video-camera

new costumes

Smaller Needs:

feminine hygiene products

band aids

hair stuff-hairnets, bob pins, hairpins, hairspray

elastic bandages

colored paper

We are doing a variety of fundraisers this year (t-shirts, sweatpants, bumper stickers).

Other Dance Department Liaison Activities (at the request of dance teachers)

-Set up Dance Department meeting and provide flyers, phone calls, and other publicity

-Coordinate "healthy snacks" for 8 nutrition meetings through out the next year for dance majors with OUHSC nutrition mentors

-Coordinate mentor parents for 6th grade dance major parents

-Coordinate end of year party for dancers

-Setting up a 501-c-3 foundation (Classen Dance Foundation) to enable writing grants for the Big-Big-Big item, the dance floor.
