Fall 2008:

Whiz Kids Mentoring (Once a Week--September, October, November)

Through Crown Heights United Methodist Mentor students, Grades 1-5 in Reading Ms. Kingsolver is a coordinator (will be supervising)

For Juniors and Seniors (must be 16 or over!)

Every Thursday


Highley Park Clean-up (Once a Quarter) NW 8th and Virginia Ave

Chair: Seanette Ting

One hour activity

Tidy-up Key Club’s Adopted Park


Food Bank (October 11 and December 13)

Chairs: Tory Wooley and Quin Adney

Volunteer at the Regional Food Bank and provide meals for the hungry.

Jobs include:

Inspecting and boxing bread

Sorting, weighing, and bagging groceries

Filling food bags/boxes

Bagging and boxing bulk frozen vegetables


JETS Halloween Party (Late October)

Chairs: Quin Adney, Monet Olorunnisomo,

Kristina  Nguyen, and Darrshini Muthurajah

Organize an annual Halloween Party and Haunted House for under-privileged children


Harvest Food Drive (Late October, Early November)

Chairs: Alyssa Kennamer, Michael Tieu, Seanette Ting

Collect, sort, and count foods donated by the student body.

Pizza party for the science class that donates the most!


Gift Wrapping (Late November)

Chairs: Leslie O’Connor and Jessica Lie

Through Crown Heights United Methodist

Wrap presents for under-privileged children.
