Classes Start on Thursday, August 21st   (7:40-2:10)

Help Needed:

On Tuesday, August 19th PTSA will be at Camp Comet to sign up members, to sell merchandise, to hand out the all important 08-09 PTSA informational notebooks, to answer incoming parents’ questions and to help the counseling department and/or the Ambassador’s Corp with Camp Comet.  If you can help – we could use it!!  We are going to be there from 7:30 until 2:30, but the most important time is from 7:30 to around 11:00.  We need at least 10 – 15 people!!  You can come and go anytime – any help will be appreciated!!  Please reply ASAP with what time you can help.

P.S. To show Classen spirit, please wear a shirt that either says “Classen” on it or is blue and/or yellow!!

Feel free to forward this to anybody you think may be able to help!

Sports Information:
To all parents that have a kiddo in the middle school and wants to play soccer, they'll need a physical before they can come for practices (and
tryouts depending on the number of student-athletes interested). OSSAA forms can be downloaded and printed from the CSAS website. Go to home page and click on "sports."

So if you are a parent that qualifies for this, I would urge you to get the physical completed and have them bring their paperwork to me the first day of school.

Thanks,
Coach Morgan lukofthairish@yahoo.com

After Care Option:

First Presbyterian Church at NW 24th and Western runs an after school program called Spark. I believe they have a program for middle schoolers and I think they have a van that picks up at Classen. We’ve used Spark for elementary age and it’s and excellent program. The middle schoolers are kept completely separate from the elementary kids. The number at Spark is 525-0018. The cost for elementary is $55 week, but the middle school program may be a little cheaper.
