changes and the new information being added, this year's directory will
not be available until October.
The
kids are all in school, and now it is time to kick off PTSA for the
parents!
I want to extend a warm welcome to all
our new families as well as our returning friends. We have an
exciting year shaping up at Classen and it all starts with….

MEMBERSHIP!
Don ’t forget to join PTSA – there are four easy ways to sign
up:
1.
A membership forms is
attached
to this edition of the Classen News. Complete and return it with $5
for each member to the PTSA box in the main office at the school.
(Checks should be made payable to “Classen SAS PTSA”)
2.
Forms are available in the
main
office
at school so you can just bring in your $$, fill out a copy and
leave it there.
3.
Look on the
website
and download a membership form. You may print it out, complete it
and return it to the office with your $$.
4.
We will be selling memberships at
Open
House
on Thursday, September 13, so just show up and we will have a table
set up with everything you need.
§
We have a new
“commitment”
section
on the membership form. We will explain how it works at our first
meeting.
§
Our first
PTSA
meeting
of the year will be at Open House – we will have the schedule for
the entire year available then.
§
Speaking of Open House, we’re looking
for
volunteers
to help. Just hit “Reply” and give us your name and contact
information and we will get in touch.
§
A big “THANKS” to
Ketch
Design Center
for donating their profit margin and the installation on the new
blinds purchased for the school by the PTSA!
§
The
mystery construction
in front of the school is the first phase of the commemorative brick
project begun several years ago. Construction of a low wall and
paved area will beautify the school entrance and give students a
place to sit.
§
Volunteers are busy compiling the
school
directory
– be sure to turn in your information.
§
We plan to have the new Classen
T-shirts and hoodies
for sale at Open House! Bring your checkbook and your students’
sizes and go home with a great school wardrobe.
We will give more complete reports on all these items as well as our
plans for the
“Haunt
the Holes”
golf tournament at Open House. So mark you calendars - I look
forward to seeing you there!
