Classen SAS Parent – Teacher Liaison

Chair – Christi Hill-Savage 848-6176 / Christi@swatokc.com
Co-chair – Christy Zelley 602-0293 / Czelley@lokc.org

The mission of the Classen PTSA Parent/Teacher Liaison Committee is to help parents stay involved in their children’s school life and to help the teacher to get what they need.  Be it a wish list, volunteers in the classroom, giving of money and/or time – each Parent/Teacher Liaison is there to be of service.  Think of this as a “grown-up” Homeroom parent without the parties.  Once a student hits middle school, there seems to be a breakdown of communication and involvement – the Parent/Teacher Liaison helps bridge that gap.  The liaison should be available for contact via phone or email (preferred) and should keep other parents informed as best as they can – they will be the teacher’s right hand “man.”  Most responsibilities can be taken care of from home and it is a good way to connect with the teacher like most others never will. We will have a liaison orientation meeting in a couple of weeks that will detail all the information involved.

Following is a list of teachers who have not yet been placed with a liaison – if you are interested please reply to Christi@swatokc.com ASAP - as the liaisons will be placed in order of reply.  Also, list at least 3 teachers in order of preference in case your top picks have already been taken.  Thanks for your support!!
