Would you like to advertise your business in the 8th grade bridging program? Business card ads are $10 and full page ads are $40. A great way to showcase your business to other Classen families. Send a pdf or jpeg of your card or ad copy to: Jrodgers@okcu.edu by May 1. Send check made out to Classen (with “Comet Congrats” in the memo) to school.

 

Personal Comet Congratulations are not just for parents!  Please encourage other family and friends to place messages as well. Message forms are available from Ms. Allen. Cost: $5 - $20 depending on how much you want to say J  Questions? Contact Jacci Rodgers @ 360-8788.

 

 

 

TEACHER APPRECIATION LUNCHEON - We have plenty of food but if people still want to donate, $$ or door prizes it  would be appreciated.

 

CHECK YOUR MAILBOX!   A blue flier that was mailed to all households on Friday giving the details of the PTSA’s “Make a Commitment” campaign.  The stated purpose of all the PTSA’s fundraising is  curriculum enhancement, and while we fund other school items throughout the year, our main focus is on supporting the needs in the classroom.  We are beginning the teacher grant process for this year, so this will be your last opportunity to contribute to the instructional needs for the coming year. This program works well with the Teacher Liaison Wish Lists, which help provide supplies – this process pools our donations to provide larger items.  So, take a minute and make a commitment to Classen!

PTSA GENERAL MEETING REMINDER - TUESDAY, MAY 13 AT 6:00 PM

 

 

SENIOR PARENTS - You are encouraged to participate in the Seniors' activities, which start next Friday, at 11:00 on May the 2nd with the cook-out on the field and faculty/seniors basketball game at 1:00. Consult former PTSA newletters, the CSAS website, and every Senior has a copy of Senior Activities. Several parents have volunteered for various responsibilities but we need more.   Don't miss the opportunity to participate in activities with your Senior - you will never get this opportunity again!!!!!

 **ATTENTION 8TH GRADE PARENTS**

 

The 8th grade Bridging Committee and your student have been working very hard towards our Bridging Ceremony to be held Friday, May 16th, 2008.  There are a few students who have still not turned in their pictures, money and/or forms.  Parents, please take a moment and turn them in this week!

 

1.     Comet Congratulations due – Thursday, May 1st.

2.     Bridging Ceremony – Friday, May 16th at 6:30 p.m.
