JOHNNIE'S NIGHT - Thursday, April 3, is Classen
Night at Johnnie's on Britton Road. Say "Classen" when you order and
they will donate 10% to our students going to Germany in June, 2008.

COMETS
High School Athletic Banquet will be Thursday, April 10th at 7:00;
Faculty House- 601 NE 14th (NE 14th at Lincoln Boulevard); parking lot
across
Lincoln to the west; Tickets are $12.00 per person and that
includes dinner. Space is limited so purchase your tickets early to
guarantee a seat. Tickets will go on sale Monday, March 31 from 11:30 -
12:30 in the main hallway. Checks may be made payable to Classen SAS.
If you are an athlete and want to attend the banquet, you must purchase
a ticket. Tickets must be purchased in advance as no tickets will be
sold at the door the night of the banquet
The Nominating Committee is still
soliciting nominations for PTSA officers for next year. Offices include a
president, president-elect, vice president, teacher vice president,
secretary and treasurer. All positions are open. The Committee will meet
this week to finalize a slate of officers to present to the PTSA membership
at the April 8 meeting next week. The slate will be presented for voting at
the May meeting. Nominations from the floor will be accepted at that time.
If you want to serve as a PTSA officer, or want to nominate someone else
willing to serve, please contact a Nominating Committee member as soon as
possible. They are: Jennifer Puckett, Beth Croll, Bea Scofield, Lou Kohlman
and Principal Valerie Harris.
A copy of the current Bylaws has been
posted on the PTSA web site. The Bylaws committee is reviewing the bylaws.
We must present a
reviewed and re-approved copy of the Bylaws to the State PTSA by May 31. A
proposed draft of any changes will also be presented at the April meeting,
with voting at the May meeting. If you are interested and have the
opportunity, please review the posted current Bylaws on the PTSA web site.
This will give you a head start when the draft is presented at the April
meeting. Also, the Bylaws contain job descriptions for most of the offices
above.

to Dance Extravaganza Rehearsals);
(2) FRIDAY April 4, after school until ? (building open til 9 or 10 for
Dance Extravaganza.)
(3) SATURDAY APRIL 5, BEGINNING AT 8:30 A.M. TO DO LEFT OVER TAPING AND HELP
WITH STAGING, ENDING WITH LAST SHIFT: CLEANUP! (IF CARS ARE IN THE BACK
PARKING LOT, WE’RE STILL CLEANING UP.)
(4) SNACKS/DRINKS/ICE/TUBS FOR DRINKS (OUBE PROVIDES SACK LUNCHES FOR THEIR
VOLUNTEERS; CSASBH DOESN’T. SOONER SACK LUNCHES ARE A BIT LAME. SNACKS,
BEVERAGES APPRECIATED BY ALL.)
