Parents:  Enrollment forms for 2008-2009 will be sent home as follows:
    Rising 7th, 8th—sent home this week 3/24—3/28)
    Rising 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th—sent home next week
    (3/31-4/4)
Please sign and return ASAP; the 2008-2009 schedule will be determined by these pre-enrollment numbers.
 
CLASS PIANO RECITALS will be held during class hours in the auditorium on Wednesday, April 9 and Thursday, April 10.  All piano classes will be participating.
 
Our annual BEST OF THE BEST will be held Thursday evening April 10 from 7:00-8:00 PM.  All piano students are required to attend this or another piano recital for a grade before the end of the semester.  This is always an awesome high-caliber performance event featuring our most advanced piano students.  If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Dalton, Dr. Lindley or Ms. Whitman.
 
 
JOHNNIE'S NIGHT - Thursday, April 3, is Classen Night at Johnnie's on Britton Road.  Say "Classen" when you order and they will donate 10% to our students going to Germany in June, 2008.  See you at Johnnie's! 
 
COMETS  High School Athletic Banquet will be Thursday, April 10th at 7:00; Faculty House- 601 NE 14th (NE 14th at Lincoln Boulevard); parking lot across Lincoln to the west; Tickets are $12.00  per person and that includes dinner. Space is limited so purchase your tickets early to guarantee a seat.  Tickets will go on sale Monday, March 31 from 11:30 - 12:30 in the main hallway.  Checks may be made payable to Classen SAS.  If you are an athlete and want to attend the banquet, you must purchase a ticket.  Tickets must be purchased in advance as no tickets will be sold at the door the night of the banquet.

PTSA GENERAL MEETING - APRIL 8, 2008
 
                                Diaper Drive to benefit the
Infant Crisis Center of OK
 
Ambassador Corps is sponsoring a diaper drive for the Infant Crisis Center .  The drive will run thru April 16th.  We are collecting any and all items for infants and toddlers.  They are in desperate need of diapers (all sizes) and formula, but all donations of any kind will be greatly appreciated. 
 
Donations can be dropped off in the guidance office.  Any questions, you may contact Ms. Curry at 962-0252 or dmcurry@okcps.org.

THANKS TO THE MANY WHO’VE ALREADY SIGNED UP TO HELP PREP AND TAPE ROOMS, PAINT & BRING SNACKS.
 
VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED to scrape, patch & tape classrooms and cafeteria (bring your own scrapers/brushes/rollers as applicable. We will have tape.)
When:
 
(1) Tue/Wed/Thur April 1,2,3 AFTER-SCHOOL until 5:30 or 6 pm (end-time tied to Dance Extravaganza Rehearsals);
 
(2) FRIDAY April 4, after school until ? (building open til 9 or 10 for Dance Extravaganza.)
(3) SATURDAY APRIL 5, BEGINNING AT 8:30 A.M. TO DO LEFT OVER TAPING AND HELP WITH STAGING.
 
(4) VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED TO HELP PAINT ON APRIL 5TH, INCLUDING “LATE SHIFT” BEGINNING AT 2PM FOR RELIEF PAINTING FOLLOWED BY CLEANUP!
 
(5) SNACKS/DRINKS/ICE/TUBS FOR DRINKS (OUBE PROVIDES SACK LUNCHES FOR THEIR VOLUNTEERS; CSASBH DOESN’T. SOONER SACK LUNCHES ARE A BIT LAME. SNACKS, BEVERAGES APPRECIATED BY ALL.)
 
Students are welcome (middle-schoolers need an accompanying adult, please.) CAS HOURS? YES.

DANCE EXTRAVAGANZA 2008!
 
Join us on Friday, April 4 and Saturday, April 5 at 7:30 pm. for a night of ballet and modern dance. Choreography by Wei Wu, Danni Kelly and Nancy Trait-Lira will be highlighted. Senior soloists Michelle Langford and Jessica Ray will be joined by junior Hannah Pierce and sophomore Megan Storey in performing their work. Admission: Adults $6.00, Students (18 years & younger) $3.00.
 
CSAS students will be joined by Gatewood Elementary students for a special performance on Thursday at 1:00 pm. Tickets on sale Thursday morning and lunch for $3.00.
