Yearbook Announcement:

The final deadline to order  a yearbook early is February 8. No yearbooks will be sold between February 8 and Distribution Day (late May).  Consult the yearbook website at http://www.geocities.com/classenorbit for more information.
 
PTSA GENERAL MEETING - Tuesday’s PTSA meeting will include an interpretation and results of the Classen EXPLORE, PLAN, practice ACT, and PSAT tests. These are tests that were taken by Classen students last fall. The meeting will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2008, from 11:30-12:30 in the Little Theatre (C Hall, Room C110).
 
BOARD MEETING  The MAPS plan for Classen will be on the school board agenda for Monday, January 28th.  We plan for the Classen parent group to attend this  meeting and speak on behalf of Classen.  Every source tells us that high attendance truly affects the outcome of the decisions made, so it is imperative that we have every possible parent, teacher and student attend the meeting on Monday, January 28, 5:30 PM, 900 N. Klein!  We will continue to spread information over the next two weeks.

** ATTENTION 8TH GRADE PARENTS**
 
Classen SAS has a tradition of marking 8th graders’ passage into high school with a “Bridging Ceremony” and other activities (Rehearsal, luncheon prior to rehearsal, Ceremony and an After-Party).  If you would be interested in helping organize and plan this year’s Bridging Ceremony, please contact Christi Hill-Savage, Committee Chair, at Christi@SWATokc.com (or 848-6176) as soon as you can.  The committee plans to meet with Ms. Allen (8th grade sponsor) in a couple of weeks to begin the process.

Ms. Stafford (our amazing art teacher) is in need of chaperones for a trip to the Oklahoma Museum of Art.  If you are able to spend a couple of hours enjoying art w/ Ms. Stafford and approximately 30 of her students on one or more of the dates listed below, please contact Christi Hill-Savage at Christi@SWATokc.com as soon as possible.  Please indicate the date(s) you are willing to help.
