LOST CELL PHONE -   My foreign exchange student, Ayoub has lost his cell phone.  He thinks he may have dropped it walking from our home to the school.  We live across from CSAS on 19th in the beige brick home.  He may have dropped it in the soccer field area.  Please let us know if anyone finds it.  His birthday was on the 19th and he was unable to talk to his family in Kuwait.  His phone is an international phone and he had lots of pictures of his family and all his phone numbers and messages that are very important to him.  Please contact us if someone knows anything about it.  Our home phone number is 525-3061.  Micah Neighbors is the contact person.  Thank you so much!

CHARITY BALL - Hal Adamson and his son, Brian, were our photographers for the Charity Ball. They will soon have proofs posted in the various hall showcases. Any questions, Mr. Adamson's room ext. is 962-0264.

The Ball profits were $2,418.35 and The Epworth Manos Juantas Free Medical Clinic is the
recipient. Several of our students volunteer there every Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to noon. The clinic is in the Epworth Methodist Church basement, 1901 N. Douglass, and currently services three languages:  Latino, Vietnamese, and English.

MISSING GUITAR FOUND - The morning after the announcement at school that Kinnyon’s guitar was missing, it was brought into the main office.  Yippee J
Apparently it had been returned exactly where Kinnyon had originally left it and a student who heard the announcement came upon it.  I have been told by administration that there seems to be a problem with this sort of thing – maybe not so much theft as it is kids being mischievous and thinking it is funny.  We have mentioned this to our kids that it is not funny to the families that it happens to, what better example than how this has felt….

So, great news for our son and THANKS for everybody’s help in circulating the information!
Our learning lesson – have the student report it to administration as soon as possible, circulate a call for help and your chances of getting it back improve.

Classen CAS project is in need of desperate donations to purchase paint.  As a gift to the teachers and support staff, we are going to paint identifying numbers or names on all parking spaces.  We will have to buy stencils, paint, and spray paint to accomplish this goal.  If you are interested in helping, either contact Ms. Smith at 962-0260 or you can donate money through the financial office.

Did you know that Classen parents have a Yahoo group?  To join, visit  http://groups.yahoo.com/group/classenparents/ and click on 'join this group'.  Be sure and give me a few details in the 'why to you want to join this group' box so that I will know you are a real parent and not someone who just wants to spam the group.  Keep in mind, occasionally things get swallowed up by spam filters, hijacked by cyber gremlins or just plain lost in virtual reality, so if you try to join and feel like it hasn't worked for some reason, please try again and/or contact me.  Patricia Oglesby rpngso@gmail.com.
