Attention Athletic Supporting Parents: Not Just another Fund Raiser!! Attend an important meeting in the cafeteria on: Tuesday, October 21st at 6:30
Sports teams need money. Classen sports teams have NO budget and plenty of needs. Think money for balls, equipment, uniforms, and buses. Coaches and parents have brainstormed about this idea, and a new idea has emerged. Learn about an exciting Classen experiment in fund raising that is the brainchild of Jason Pickard, high school baseball coach and middle school basketball coach: working concessions at OKC's own NBA Thunder Games! All of the proceeds will benefit the athletic teams of Classen-baseball and basketball at first. So, basketball and baseball parents are especially encourage to come to this meeting and participate. With the success of this initial fund raiser using basketball and baseball parents, the fundraising opportunities could be expanded to include other sports throughout the year if supported by parents. This is a great chance to EARN some money, not just "recycling" our own Classen family money. Feel the Excitement! Taste the Thrills! Hear the Thunder!! Support Our Classen Comets Interested, but can't attend the meeting? Email your interest to: Thelma Pickard @ tlpickard@okcps.org
