Sequoyah Elementary has many after-school opportunities for all ages.

Below you will find each club/program we offer a description of the club, and most meeting days and times.

Sequoyah Kids

 Sequoyah Kids is a before & after school program that focuses on students continued learning and providing opportunities for the children to gain and grow in social and academic skills.  Please click the links below to find out more information about Sequoyah Kids.

Chess Club

 Chess club is an after-school club for 3rd-5th graders. Chess Club meets on Thursday afternoons.  Children will learn the skills and challenges of the game of chess, as well as having a great time with their peers.

Yearbook Club

Yearbook club meets after-school on Mondays for  4th and 5th grades.  Children participating in Yearbook club will learn photography, editing, and journalism skills. Children will participate in social events with peers.

Student Council

Students participating in Student Council are nominated by their classroom teachers.  Students if they accept the nomination are encouraged to be leaders of the school, community, and their peers. Students in grades 1st-3rd are nominated for representatives of their classroom; while students in 4th and 5th grade may run for the positions of Class President, Vice-President, and Secretary.  Student Council teaches children valuable life lessons in leadership, finances, event operations and more!!

Art Club

 Art Club is an after school activity where students are challenged to find their inner artist.  Students will build vocabulary, visual skills, and a stronger knowledge and appreciation of art.

Honor Choir

Honor choir is a before and after school activity in which students practice the skills of vocal singing, movement, beat, dance, and drama. Students are selected for this activity by our music educator.

Dynamic Drummers

Dynamic Drummers is a new program offered to students in grades 3rd-5th. Students involved in Dynamic Drummers will learn basic drumming, rhythm, and music skills. Dynamic Drummers meets Mondays afterschool.
